Yes. Well over a thousand different classes. Much of the credit for
this goes to Countess Alys Katerine who organized the classes for a
number of years. They have enough classes to keep 17? class tents busy
for a good part of the day.

And it isn't just larger number of participants at Pennsic, leading to
the number of classes. Proportionally, Pennsic has *more classes per
participant* than other large SCA events such as Gulf Wars.

And many of the learning activities there are not formal classes. I've
watched William the Smith smelt iron from ore, folks turn goblets on
pole lathes and other folks bake bread in medieval dome ovens in their
camps.

In private camps I have also had the pleasure of attending Sekanjabin,
Scotch Whiskey and real Maple syrup tastings.

Stefan
(who attends a large number of classes at Pennsic but whose list of
classes he wants to attend always seems to be larger than the time to
take them and has to make many choices when class times conflict)
