Selene,

I hope you got the epoxy that is specifically for gluing mirrors onto 
glass* or if you got some other kind that you haven't done this repair 
job yet.

Because the wrong epoxy does not have the give that this special epoxy 
has or because it has a different coefficient of expansion than the 
glass (I can't remember which right now), using the wrong epoxy can 
make your windshield crack around where it is glued to the mirror 
support. You can find the correct adhesive at most auto parts stores 
and probably various discount or department stores.
