Nanna doesn't have anything about seaweed in the index of her book 
"Icelandic Food and Cookery", although cardamon is listed several 
times. Looking at each of these pages it looks like she uses cardamon 
as an ingredient, but I'm not sure she has much commentary on this 
ingredient.
