[Sca-cooks] Marzipan question

Really? Where did you find the recipe? I guess it wouldn't be possible
to put them inside a real peach because of the juice. Do you make the
marzipan yourself?  Is there a recipe for it?

A subtlety recipe from a 1599 Spanish cookbook.  The marzipan is mixed 
with cinnamon and sanders (powdered red sandalwood).  Then it's molded 
into the shape of a peach pit, with a whole blanched almond inside it.
When 
dried, they look remarkably like real peach pits.

I make them often, which is why Mistress Christianne thought that might
be 
what I was making for Coronation.
