I suppose making it in the serving bowl, as G-d intended, would be
asking too much, huh? ;-)

Absolutely - you know when we were talking about Ceasar salads a while back,
I don't recall seeing anything about rubbing the bowl with a fresh-cut clove
of garlic, but that's the way my Dad made it - I even got his huge wooden
salad bowl that it was always made in.  Hmmmm....
