The eyes looked like gold plastic spoons to me. There is one close up

Wow.
Does anyone know what the eyes were made from? The pictures sort of
skip over placing those. They aren't there and then suddenly, they are.
Is this something you get from cake decorating shops?
Other than this missing step, sort of like some medieval recipes, this
is a nice how to series of pictures.
