[Sca-cooks] Alan Davidson

I was perusing the Los Angeles Times food section
this evening after dinner, when I came upon an
article written by Charles Perry, called Alan
Davidson, An Appreciation.

In this article, it states that Alan Davidson 
died on Dec. 2, 2003.  Mr. Perry talks about all
of Mr. Davidson's wonderful achievements and
mentions that the family had given out a little
booklet to all who attended the memorial with all

of Alan Davidson's favorite recipes.  

I don't recall anyone mentioning this on this 
list before and with Adamantius' mention earlier
today of a planned Oxford Companion to American
Food, I began to wonder if anyone else on this
list knew of this terrible loss.
