I've just realized that I can't remember the names of any of the places we 
ate when we were in GB for our honeymoon 6 years ago, except for the Monkey's 
Paw, a pub we went to on our first evening in London.  The girl at the desk of 
our hotel across the street was somewhat appalled when she asked us where we 
had dinner; she said, in a shocked voice "Wasn't it awfully greasy?".  The 
answer was, no.  Mu husband had bangers and mash, and I had a lovely steak and ale 
pie with a puff pastry crust 2 inches high.
I wish I could remember the name of the upscale restaurant we went to in 
Edinburgh, as it was extremely good (Scottish venison!), but I can't.
That or the pizza place somewhere near Durham that had things like Chicken 
Kiev pizzas...Of course, their American pizza was distinguished by the fact that 
it had canned sweet corn on it, according to the menu.
