Not really, it's an independent Rajiput kingdom with a constitutional
monarchy (which outlasted the brief fling with Communist-led minority
government).  China or India could take the place, but no one in their right
mind wants to pay the cost of engaging gurkhas on their turf for so little
economic gain.
