A lot of the blacksmiths I know who do demos for the public have tin into
idjits who are convinced that what they smith is doing isn't happening. One
guy was loudly telling all and sundry that, "There aren't any real
blacksmiths any more", and that it was all done with lights, so Johan took
the hot steel he was working on, and laid it on a wooden board.

Another idjit was so determined to "prove" it was all a fake, that, after
being caught and chased away from the forge several time because he was
trying to stick his hand into the fire, actually went around behind the
forge, and climbed a brick wall, to stick his hand in the forge. Burned
himself pretty good ;-)
