I'm assuming that you mean you worked your way through the big commercially brewed, mass quantity
beers, like Budweiser, Coors, Hamms, PBR, et al.

There are very many 'micro-breweries', and even some rather large 'craft breweries' in the U.S.
which produce outstanding, unique beers, as well as excellent renditions of classic European
styles.

It is indeed unfortunate that the U.S. has been duct-taped (naked)to the international
misconception that 'American Beer' is pale, tasteless and flacid. Over the last 20 years, the
U.S. has seen a remarkable come-back in the Brewing industry, and the tastes of the American beer
drinker have begun to see some refinement. This is evidenced by the commercial successes of
breweries like Pyramid, Widmer, Anchor, et. al., all of which produce a wide variety of superb
beers, in broad distribution throughout the U.S. and elsewhere. Some have even won international
brewing awards :)

You'll find a difference, as we have found, between the promise of our greener days, and those we
master now.
