Pass them on, then, to close friends. I grew up in a kind of 'disjointed' family, where
'tradition' almost sounded like a requirement, and was therefore immediately ignored. And, while
my immediate family (son, brother and sisters, mother, aunt and cousin) did have enjoyable
Holidays together, it was our combined 'Circle of Friends' who made these days spectacular. Now
that we have all 'grown up', and my mother has passed away, it is those friends who keep coming
back asking 'are you going to make this-or-that this year?' Last year, I began my
"neo-traditional Christmas Swa-Ray", which was very well recieved. And, from this, many
traditions will certainly grow, and old ones (from many different families) will be intermixed.
