You built your forge *inside* your garage??? Or does your garage not 
have a ceiling and roof anymore? :-)

After I got the blacksmithing bug at a Gulf Wars where I learned that I 
could actually get close enough to a coal fire, despite my eyesight, to 
be able to forge. And there were several blowers available at that war 
or possibly it was at a Steppes Warlord a few months later. So I would 
check out some of the bigger SCA events.

Since I believe you are in Ansteorra if you can get to one of the First 
Monday flea markets in Canton, that might be worth checking out for 
this. I've wanted to go to one of these just to see what kind of stuff 
was available, but because it is on a Monday it requires a day or two 
of vacation and my wife is rather unthrilled about shopping in general, 
much less walking around all day at a super large, outdoor flea market.
