[Sca-cooks] OT (?) Winter Favorites

Oh yes -- I remember fall football games in New Jersey -- air so clean
and sharp it almost hurt your nose to breathe it ... the lingering
aroma of cider as we walked to and from the game ... the sharp tang of
moss growing between the cobblestones ... the creamy hot chocolate
smells wafting up in visible threads from cups wrapped in bright
mittens ... coming home to a crackling wood fire, overlaid with
delicate scents of pie -- pumpkin, cherry and mince ... and over it
all, a scented wash of roast turkey, smothered in sage, onion and
celery seed, yams with melted marshmallows and pecans ... *drool* ... 
:)

Thanks for the inspiration .... many happy memories ....
