McCutcheon's in Frederick, MD makes both a Pear Butter (19 oz. $2.39) 
and Pear Preserves (20 oz. $3.19). I got mine at Beiler's in Uniontown, OH. 
The butter has white grape juice & spices.  The preserves have cinnamon.
Both have citric acid & pectin.

I made several trips to Ohio Amish country this summer and I am fairly 
certain that I saw other brands of pear preserves in stores there.  So, those 
of you within reach of Amish or Mennonite communities might try there.
