If you actually have some first hand experience in making kumiss, I'd 
sure like to hear about it. I don't remember any evidence for tiger 
bones in it, though. Did you actually find mare's milk to make it from? 
In NYC? My first thought would be "not too likely" but then you've 
mentioned how many unusual items can be turned up there. Even cattails. 
:-) I have heard of folks using cow's milk and the mare's milk 
substitute, which results in something awful.

I don't know about any period aphrodisiac with tiger parts in it, but

Hmmm. I've not heard of anyone who has entered an A&S entry on 
aphrodisiacs. Although I've heard of a baby being entered. But like the 
sheep to shawl entries...
