Kiri, 

If resume writing is one of your talents, and/or you do ok wiht older kids 
you should look into;

a) Your Local Vocational Rehabilitation Office: resume wiriting is one of the 
tasks thta thye often help clients with ( Plus at least here in Vt, it's a 
state job with tenure, benefits etc....

b) Your Local department of Employment and training office (same reasons as 
above)

c) Your Local High Schools, about a program called something like project 
onward...they do job searching and shadowing with college and non-college bound 
students with resume writing a key component.

Fully understanding your frustration... I' m still working as a classroom 
aide ... not living anywhere close to upscale day care centers.
