[Sca-cooks] Pickled or no? -

I like beets but I have a wholly different avenue for not liking them from 
Adamantius.

First, fresh beets can have, uhm, startling effects on some body processes.
(alarming is more the word when you are not expecting them)
They stain and bleed into other kinds of food.

Not to mention they are very bad for you in terms of blood insulin
response.  Anyone
who is remotely diabetic should stay clear of any beet root.  (the
tops are alright
though)
