Thank you for reminding me!  In addition to the traditional apple-based 
charoset, one of the seder guests brought 3 other variations -- 
Venetian, Persian, and Yemenite.  They were wonderful, especially the 
Venetian, which was rich with dates, chestnuts, orange, and brandy.

Tonight, I go to have dinner with my grandmother.  We will eat in the 
dining room of her apartment complex, and have the chef's idea of a 
Passover holiday meal.  Which is to say, it will be an adequate, but 
unexciting dinner.
