[Sca-cooks] allergies vs. sensitivities

If I'm cooking and people have a genuine allergy or sensitivity to 
something, they should contact me in advance so that I can either (a) 
make sure they don't accidentally consume the item in question and/or 
(b) make an alternate dish.  I take all assertions of allergies 
seriously and sometimes quiz people a little about how severe their 
allergy/sensitivity is as a way of making sure the get the most out of 
the meal.  I do not avoid preparing any dish because some people can't 
or won't eat it-- I make sure everyone can have a good and substantial 
meal, so I don't see why anyone else should be deprived.
