thanks, but the seasoning hint is invaluable.  like 
sausage, like scrapple... lots of spices.  and being the 
flummery queen of the outlands (frumenty with oatmeal... 
irish oatmeal pudding) i have no fear of oatmeal!

at a seige cooking competition a week or so ago, i got the 
best compliment.  my worthy opponent said "i thought, 
cailte always makes a pudding with oatmeal and fruit... 
i'll try one too!"  (imitation/sincerest form/all 
that)very nice effort on her part, though unmolding was a 
problem for her.  but she says she'll try it again.

time to dust off the old jeff smith books...
