Chips with gravy or with cheese are not that unusual. Not every culture 
privileges ketchup to the same extent :-)

It's really meshes well with Northern Europe's winter food tradition: plenty 
of hot, filling carbs, meat product alongside, and add fat! I don't think you 
can enjoy it at above 10°C
