Interesting question! In AEthelmearc, the cooking
Laurels (all three or four of them) are pretty serious
research nuts, so I'd say our kingdom's Order looks
(and has looked) at knowledge and use of period
recipes pretty seriously.
 
For example, I got the bird for doings lots of feasts
(and some other service). I believe the reason they're
throwing the wreath at me next month is because those
feasts were always well-researched. Of course, I dunno
for sure because I wasn't in on those discussions...
;)
