[Sca-cooks] a Lenten question-Point of information regarding Kosher symbols

Dear All,

Unless the Organized Kashruth Labs has changed its symbology recently, the "Circle K" alone stands ofr Pareve. With the "P" after the "Circle K", it means Kosher for Passover, which is another whole game, friends. Much more restrictive.
(I used to work with them because they're the people who certify my employer's products, until that job became large enough to have someone else do it full time.)

Regards,
Brekke (reading my mail late, as ussual)

This is going to sound theologically weird but practical: look for
margarine marked Pareve [neutral on the Milk/Meat scale] for use by
persons keeping Kosher. Either the word "Pareve" or the letter K in a
circle, accompanied by a letter P. Not D, for Dairy.
