As promised from records of Leicester and found these interesting
bought in feast foods

1307/1318/1323 Hens baked in bread I must try this one !

As an aside to this waste not want not suggests fish in bread was a type of 
fish pie where you pour out the runny parts and replace it with butter to 
preserve it better for transportation. So fish in pastry rather than bread. 
Anyone else come across anything similar ?


1317 Leeks for soup  (pp303)
Barley sugar (there is a not saying the pulled kind, not sure I'll look at
the Latin I think) pp314

3 mentions of Pears and Nuts so far (as a mixture to be eaten as such)
Pears and rasins too
Fish wise specific fish Herrings, salmon and eels (also fresh and preserved
of some unspecified kind)
