I just wanted to let everyone know that I started a new group called SCA
Authentic Cooks.

I will state outright that I LOVE this list and I am happy that Gunthar has
been so nice in letting us chat in his kitchen and I will continue to read
and particpate in this group (and the copious others I read) and I have no
intention of stepping on any toes.

That said, I wanted to try out something new. Create a list where someone
could they getting into the "mind" of the ancient cooks. Not just discussing
recipes and recreating them, but learning how to think like them.

So, I decided to try an experiment. I started
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SCA-AuthenticCooks/

I hope that it will eventually be another home for those interested in going
beyond the medieval recipe and reenacting the person. If you have the
interest, check it out.

"One can never know too much; the more one learns, the more one sees the
need to learn more and that study as well as broadening the mind of the
craftsman provides an easy way of perfecting yourself in the practice of
your art."
