Wellllllll...

I have "America's First Cuisines" by Sophie D. Coe about 
Meso-American food prior to and a bit into the time of Spanish 
colonialism, if you want old recipes (well, doesn't exactly have 
recipes but does discuss the cuisine)

And i have some books written within the past 25 years on current 
cuisine in Guatemala, home of the Mayas, such as "False Tongues and 
Sunday Bread: A Guatemalan and Mayan Cookbook" by Copeland Marks.

Which do you prefer? and what sorts of recipes are you looking for... 
red meat, fowl, fish, vegetables, sweets, beverages...?
