Uhm, I used to make war gaming terrain and model railroad peices
professionally and I used to use an electric knife to shave blue foam hunks.
I had to do it alone becuase it makes a peculiar reciprocating squeaking noise
that only certain people can withstand without curling into a fetal
position and
screaming.
I used to create all kinds of interesting tools to cut and sculpt blue foam via
hot and cold methods. Some were even safe.
