Pots! You were lucky! When I was growing up, we thought pots were a luxury!
We had to cook our rice in teaspoons, a grain at a time, and then we all
died of beri-beri because we didn't have the vitamin-enriched rice that you
ungrateful whipper-snappers have today!

You're right, I DID have the luxury of fire.... I feel so spoiled <G>

Good one guys....::snicker::

Did I mention that I was cooking over a fire because even thought there was a
kitchen onsite, we were afraid to go into it because the floor almost gave
way under just my weight, it was rotten or termite eaten or something, they
hadn't maintained it.

I think the autocrat wanted to show us what events were like back in the
day... I KNOW he thought people were spoiled in their sites <G>.
