[Sca-cooks] OT Cornbread

I'm not dissing it, just not *understanding* it!  I'm sure I have my own 
regional weirdnesses, since I was born (and still live) in NW Montana, 
from parents who came out here from Connecticut when newly married.  I 
know people out here who actually *prefer* Karo syrup on pancakes 
instead of real maple syrup, which is rank heresy as far as I'm 
concerned--right up there with oddly shaped cuskynoles!
And part of my Dad's family was from North Carolina (Charlotte, IIRC). 
I've even got a painting done by my great-grandfather of a house there. 
  It (the painting) hangs on the wall above my computer monitor).
