I am now back at home, and recovering nicely.
I returned home yesterday, up and around in record time, and recovering at a rate that has terribly impressed my surgeon.
I can only credit the many good wishes that have been sent my way.

My profound thanks to all who have been sending good thoughts my way.

For those who do not know, I underwent laparoscopic Gastric Bypass surgery, monday afternoon. I am both anticipating and dreading the changes to my lifestyle, but I am definitely looking forward to getting back into fencing, and other activities, since I wont be dragging about 130 pounds of excess weight by next Pennsic.
(I should actually by down about sixty pounds by this Pennsic!)

Lots of sewing, Lots of sewing over the next few months.

There are SO damn many more things I want to try in the SCA
than I can possibly have time for. It's killing me!!!

Upon the hempen tackle ship-boys climbing;
Hear the shrill whistle which doth order give
To sounds confused; behold the threaden sails,
Borne with the invisible and creeping wind,
Draw the huge bottoms through the furrow'd sea,
Breasting the lofty surge: O, do but think
You stand upon the ravage and behold
A city on the inconstant billows dancing;
For so appears this fleet majestical,
Holding due course to Harfleur.
