Together with spinach and slivered almonds, they make a wonderful salad.
The recipe is (don't want to be called a spoon tease!!):

1/3 cup raspberry vinegar
1/2 cup sugar (we substitute Splenda)
1 tsp dry mustard
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. grated onion
1 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups poppy seeds
10 oz. fresh spinach, washed and torn into bite-sized pieces
1 pt. fresh strawberries, washed, capped and sliced
1/2 cup sliced almonds, lightly toasted

In a blender, combine vinegar and the next four ingredients. Process
until blended. With blender running, add oil in a slow, steady stream.
Stir in poppy seeds. (Dressing may be stored in a refrigerator up to 1
month). Just before serving, combine sinach, strawberries in a large
bowl. Toss with desired amount of dressing. Yield: 6 servings
(From "Very Virginia", pub. Junior League of Hampton Roads, Inc.)

I've served this numerous times at parties and folks usually request it
for the next time!

Kiri
