All my reading on melons says that the melon commonly sold in the US 
as cantaloupe is actually a variety of musk melon and not a genuine 
cantaloupe.

I don't like them anyway - i have a mild reaction to them - they make 
my mouth feel odd, which other melons do not.

I'm not actually sure what a real cantaloupe is, or whether i've ever had any.
