Cheap compared to what? The current price of hamburger?
I just came from grocery shopping, and have a huge case of sticker shock. The cheapest grade of ground beef is $2.50 US per pound Last time I bought it (about a month ago) I choked out $1.99 US per pound. The ground turkey that I usually mix it with had also gone up by about 25% in a month. I know I predicted this back when the hurricanes hit, but YIKES!!!

Strangely enough I've had no problem getting marrow. I just
go to the local supermarket and ask for shin bones cut
lengthwise. I've never had any difficulty getting this done.
And it's usually pretty cheap.
