julienne the almonds - roast them or leave them raw.
cook the lentils with some water, the ginger and the OJ
add the almonds towards the end - keep the lentils intact
and almonds crunchy.

fry some of the bacon, when it is nearly crisp, drain off some
of the fat, add the spinach, let it wilt slightly and add some 
of the OJ.
