Welllll, it went something like this:
Poster 1 (tongue in cheek): "Ice Cream and chocolate is period"
Me(tongue in cheek) "If ice cream and chocolate are period, I might just serve hamburgers at the next feast I cook.  I don't think I'd have a problem documenting anything but the tomatoes ketchup, and mayo."
Kinjal: "Tomatoes are not at all out of period for Turkey.  I documented them for a 13th century dish I did for an A&S competition two years ago in Cynagua."
Me: "Do WHAT?"
Or something like that.
