[Sca-cooks] A tomato problem... A bit OT

Dunno if anyone here can help me, but I think it's worth a try.

This summer, we planted tomatoes. Thanks to chickens and slugs, only three
plants survived. One is producing only a few fruit, but otherwise appears
healthy- the other two are producing all kinds of fruit, but none of them
are changing color, on any of the plants. We bought standard plants for this
area, and yes, they're all the type that is supposed to turn red, but none
of them are turning. I don't think it would be a nutrient problem- I've been
using MiracleGro for tomato plants as recommended. One trio has been quietly
growing since before Pennsic- they aren't huge- but they're still green.

Yes, I have plenty of recipes for green tomatoes ;-) but I really would like
a few, real, red ones- only decent tomatoes I've had since I moved up here
to CT were some a friend grew in his garden near Pennsic.

Anybody have any ideas? They get full sun from about 8 AM to 7 PM.

If it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it is probably not a
