well, apparently i was the only person crazy enough to
make haggis for the haggis competition at the event this
weekend, ergo there was no haggis eating competition
latter in the evening at the tavern. i was amazed at how
many guys were disappointed!

however, not a crumb of 'mither mairi's adapted haggis for
pansy a$$e$ as interpreted by auntie cailte' was left!!!!!
i was told it was quite delicious. of course, 1/2 c of
sheep dip (scotch--great humor factor, tho) in the recipe
didn't hurt either. great flavoring agent. i didn't even
have to bribe them with the (i am told) requisite bottle
o' scotch either. the forks were flying.

the prize which was won by default (though i was told by
some that i would have probably won if any others were
entered as well, a nice compliment) was a basket of
cooking gear
and some real live period spices (long pepper, galangale,
grains of paradise and others more familiar). guess i
gotta hit the files. ;D
