Testor's PLA Enamel paint and a steady hand might work with the right
brush / nib.

And there are the "paint pens" out there as well -- I've seen one of the
"gold" ones used for exactly this purpose (labelling plastic "comb"
bindings), and it showed reasonably well upon the black combs.

The Dymo labeller labels can be re-glued -- or, with a bit of tenacity,
stapled -- to the comb as an alternative to the PTouch...
