*giggle* this summer I cooked for my first Royal Progress. I had a
combination of pages and adults serving feast, and they got the first
two courses out in quick succession -- we simply didn't manage to stop
them between course 1 and course 2. So, we snagged them coming back and
made them sit down for 15 minutes before sending out course 3-- we
needed the time and the adult servers needed the rest.

I walked into the feast hall and announced that we had given the servers
15 minutes break, but there was more food to come.

His Majesty said, "What? I didn't say you could do that!"
I said, "Your Majesty, I did not ask you if it was all right."
There were loud giggles and calls for a Quest through out the hall.
The queen got out her bag of quests, over the king's protests, and gave
me a quest to go sit down and get a pedicure. :)

Later accounts of the feast-- curiously enough from people who had been
there-- claimed that their Majesties had stomped out of the hall in a
huff and refused to eat the dinner. *snort* I was only mildly
discomposed as I had clearly seen Their Majesties competing over which
tid-bits from the dessert buffet they wanted handed to them after it was
brought in.
