Well, I am a cook and a dancer, and I have fifteen years of experience putting on balls.
I would say, personally, that having a meal in addition to dancing to a modern person
isn't well liked. Having a buffet with finger foods that a dancer can partake of in
between sets usually is better received. Nibblies sit better in an active person's
stomach than a full meal. If you have a full meal a couple hours before the dancing
or just after the dancing is fine. But not while dancing.

I would suggest cold cubed cheeses and meats. a crudite of cold fruits and veggies.
tartlets, both sweet and savory. breads with spreads, wafers, cookies, small cakes, and
lots and lots of potables, like water, punch, ades, tisanes, even sekunjabin. Dancers
get very thirsty.

Remember that while money talks, chocolate sings.
