I can't see arguing any of what you've said. My point was simply to  
wonder, as a thought exercise, if we'd be better off, as a group, if  
our Crown list entrants asked themselves about their willingness too  
participate in this (as well as all the others) aspect of the game as  
readily as they ask themselves, "Can I win this thing?"
Because to me, it would come under the heading, in most cases, of  
"Can I actually do the job if I _do_ win?"
