Malachi McCormick, who is a wonderful semi-lunatic who used to run a
hand-lettered, hand-bound book publishing company on Staten Island,
and who is also the author of some well-received Irish cookbooks,
writes somewhere about the fun in his childhood outside Cork in the
'50's, bringing baskets of "baby lettuce" to English tourists for a
lovely, fresh salad. He called his wild sorrel sourgrass... ;-)
