Hie thee to a used bookstore or to Alibris

http://www.alibris.com/search/search.cfm?S=R&qtit=joy+of+cheesecake&qauth=&qtopic=&qisbn=&qsort=p&siteID=b4uyWwyIxag-sxLdfMbCPqWaWUYJcTn4Qw

where you can find a copy of this book:

Bovbjerg, Dana.
The joy of cheesecake / Dana Bovbjerg & Jeremy Iggers.
 Woodbury, N.Y. : Barron’s, c1980.
 vii, 200 p., [8] leaves of plates : ill. ; 22 cm.
ISBN: 0812021711 (pbk.) 0812053508

You can pick up a copy for about $3-$5. It is a wonderful cookbook that not only
gives you a ton of recipes, but also explains why and how cheesecake works. It also
has a wonderful chapter on problems and how to avoid them, like cracks and craters...

You can also scan the recipes for ideas on cheesecake additives and the amounts used.
It covers almost every kind of cheesecake.

I own a copy and I wouldn't make a cheesecake without consulting this book.
