If you are talking about the white centerpiece, then my money would be on
some sort of molded marzipan painted/covered with sugar plate or some sort
of primitive icing covering.

The brown things on the right side could be some sort of cruller or fried
pastry of some sort with raisins/currants/dried fruit in them.
