What do i want for Christmas?

Minions.

There's so much more cra... uh, stuff i could bring to events and so
much more i could do if i had minions. Alas, with the local economic
downturn, not only have all the "31 Flavors" stores in Berkeley
closed, not only have the Eddie Bauer store and the Dell Computer
Store on Shattuck Ave been sitting vacant for many years, and not
only did Shambhala Books and Cody's Books on Telegraph Ave close this
year, but the minion store shut down, too :-(

If i had minions, i could manage a West Kingdom fire pit, a roasting
spit, a Dutch oven to bake in (i know it's not really period but it's
close in method), and the rest of a period kitchen set up at events...

The corpse exuded the irresistible aroma of a piquant, ancho chili
glaze enticingly enhanced with a hint of fresh cilantro as it lay
before him, coyly garnished by a garland of variegated radicchio and
caramelized onions, and impishly drizzled with glistening rivulets of
vintage balsamic vinegar and roasted garlic oil; yes, as he surveyed
the body of the slain food critic slumped on the floor of the cozy,
but nearly empty, bistro, a quick inventory of his senses told
corpulent Inspector Moreau that this was, in all likelihood, an
inside job.
