I am not in real life, and my persona pays it lip service.
However, because of the times and the need of that lip service, I would
definitely have been observing Lent. I think the idea of a more middle
eastern fare appeals to me a lot this year. My persona is heading off
for Salerno, for I hear they train women to be doctors there!

I'm not a Christian in real life or in SCA persona. What are the
dates of Lent this year? I know it's something of a moveable Fast...

As for joining in, I'm willing to do it for a week, as i did last
year, experimenting with recipes in the chapter on foods Christians
eat in Lent in the 14th century Book of the Description of Familiar
Foods and report on "Middle Eastern" Lenten fare. Some i look forward
to cooking again, others i didn't try, and now i have an opportunity.
OK, yeah, well, i could cook them any old time, but it's nice to do
it with friends.
