dear heart gave me all of new years day without bothering 
me to watch all three extended chapters of LOTR back to 
back.  all i had to do was make sure the turkey was dry 
and rubbed for the deep fryer.

heheheh...  he tried to adjust the heat for the wind that 
was blowing... said the wind would pull heat from the 
oil... he was wrong.  got too hot and altho nothing bad 
happened, some of the surface got crisp way down... but 
oddly, not burned!
