[Sca-cooks] Event invitation letters

I recently got an inquiry from a Florilegium reader. I didn't get her  
permission to post her message here, so I won't, although I'll  
forward any good suggestions to her. She asked:

<<< Do you, perhaps, have something on how to write
invitations to events from an autocrat/steward to
royalty?  I know most people just wing this kind of
thing, but if there is any help, I need it.  If
there's not, I just may end up writing something
eventually.  :-) >>>

I did write some invitation letters to the Royalty and the landed  
gentry in my kingdom when I was event steward for Candlemas about 14  
years ago, but I don't remember how I came up with what to write. It  
may have been that I delegated that task or I had some examples to go  
by.

Anyway, I don't know if this is done in other kingdoms or not, but I  
thought some examples of what to write or some info on what to write  
might make a good Florilegium file and might help others who find  
themselves in this situation.
