I may have added that my mother collects cookbooks ...  she ahs literally 
HUNDREDS.  When she passes beyond the pale (may she live forever) they will 
pass to me (one of the most depressing afternoons I have ever spent in my 
entire life was a trip through her six bedroom house writing down as she 
said "so-n-so gets this, and SHE gets that, and you girls decide among you 
who gets what of those"

Urk ... still gives me the willies every time I recall it.
